You know that new gap commercial for the 'skinny pant' with Audrey Hepburn?  Welp, i decided to bust out my old vhs audrey hepburn movies.  Hence, the rebirth of Funny Face where she began that crazy 'empaticalist' dance of hers.  And lo-and-behold the great Fred Astaire!  I've almost forgotten how beautiful he dances!  It's always soooo ...whats the word...delightful!  Once again, i'm back in love with old classic movies.

If you ever get a chance, rent Funny Face some day...or better yet, borrow it from me.  Then you'll see what i mean =)

My Trip to Chicago & Wheaton College with Ellen!

Guess who we saw on our plane to Chicago?
Dun, dun, dun!

Michelle Kwan!  Or as theKorean soccer boys on our plane would say, "M.K.!"  These reallyfunny 16 yr.old korean soccer guys kept walking up to the bathroom atthe front of the plane just to get a glimpse of Michelle sitting in 1stclass.
One of the guys even asked her to go out w/ him. Haha. What a crazy beginning!  Though, i'm sure Michelle was probably abit annoyed.  Now i can say i've met a famous person!

Does this look familiar you romance-comedy movie goers?  Doesn'tit look strikingly similar to that chicago train scene in 'While YouWere Sleeping'?

Moody's Church, a beautiful memorial with architecture, includingchandeliers, stained glass windows, wood designs from the1800s-1900s.  D.L.Moody was a great evangelist in the mid 1800swho brought people to Christ by starting his own children's sundayschool.  Here's a good quote by Mr. Moody from the Billy GrahamMuseum...

"Water runs downhilland the highest hills in America are the great cities.  If we canstir them we shall stir the whole country."

I love this plaque ". . . ever welcome to this house of God are strangers and the poor."  This is what the church should be today.

This is a 'haunted house' version of the Moody Church, taken w/ mycamera by accident. I'm no camera buff, but I thought it was prettygood actually.

Finally, lunch at the famous Pizzeria Due!  Owned by a Christianbusiness man, this eatery has a brother restaurant right across thestreet and appropriately named, Pizzeria Uno for reasons i do not know.=) But they do have great Chicago Deep Dish Pizza.  It took me4-ever to finish my small pizza.

Peek-a-boo!  It's Ellen!

Wheaton College!  This is one of the colleges Billy Graham wentto.  If you're ever in Chicago, you gotta visit this college, it'sbeautiful.

Speaking of Billy Graham...here's the Museum of Billy Graham. Right across the street is a beautiful park where people can sit on abench or just lay on the grass and sleep.

Ellen & I are in front of our main lecture building.  Isn't itbeautiful?  Almost all the buildings on campus at Wheaton Collegewere built with brick.  Reason is, back then in the 1800s, brickwas best used for protecting buildings from fires.

Doesn't that look like Narnia?  ...except in the summertime.  =)  Christmas trees are abundant here in themidwest.  I love it!  It's as if Christmas is year round!

Nearby campus I happened to pass by this house.  What you seeabove is the front yard.  They erected words such as 'Laugh' or'Simplify' or 'Giggle'.  Isn't that creative?

C.S.Lewis - Clive Staples Lewis.  This was his closet when he wasa child.   Great man.  Loved his books.  Adescription of his work along with several others like George MacDonaldand J.R.R.Tolkien was kept in a little english cottage on campus.

Huge lecture hall.  This is where we spent most of our  hourslistening and taking notes during the day and....i must behonest...sleeping. =)

Historical Building built in 1871.  Inside there's a list ofalumni who gave their lives to missionary work, some of which have beenmartyred.  They list them down by date from the 1800s up to 2000.

Thought this was funny =)

This is where we stayed. Dorm style.

This is how we felt about our stay at Wheaton College. =)

This is where all the students at Wheaton go to church on sundays.  Theycall it "College Church".  I wonder who came up with such a creative name.

And the finale...limo ride to the airport.  I miss it already...the fireflies, christmas tress, red brick buildings and amongst other things like the lectures and ministry times.  Overall it was a great experience and a time of learning and relaxation.

THE END

I just wanted to say THANK-YOU!! ...from the bottom of my heart for saying "happy birthday" =)  I didn't know that anyone was still reading my xanga.  I will post picture of my trip to chicago and wheaton college, where i am now.  Btw, it's beautiful here.  Christmas trees are like a common thing here. =P  Once again, with all my heart, THANKS!

I like this song =)  I think my cat likes it too.  Good job Diana Krall!

I can't give you anything but love, baby
That's the one thing i've got plenty of, baby
Dreaming awhile, scheming a while you're sure to find
Happiness and I guess all those things you always pine for

Gee it's nice to see you looking swell, baby
Diamond bracelets Wooworth's doensn't sell, baby
Till the lucky day you know darn well, well baby
I can't give you anything but love!

Haha...gotta love Lucy for trying.  Did i ever mention that I love Snoopy?

Latest News:  Sticky's comin' back home from Iraq! Or wherever he was transfered off to.  Yay to that!

Comment on the weather:  Stormy weather...all day, all nite.  It's been a long day.  Feels like i'm in Seattle.

Last movie watched:  Walk the Line.  Another great movie.  I have a new found respect for Mr. Phoenix and his excellent acting.  Of course, in terms of looks, i would have to throw the winning oscar to Hugh Jackson. =)

Strange things that tickle me silly:  It's quite entertaining watching my kitten devote his time to chewing & licking hard plastic.  Have you tasted plastic before?  He gnaws at it like it's the tastest food in the world.  Makes you wanna chew some plastic too. =P

Upcoming:  Festival of Books at UCLA, April 29-30th.  Oooo, i love books! http://www.latimes.com/extras/festivalofbooks/

Shopping Updates:  There's an H&M in old town Pasadena now!  I love Pasadena...first Tiffany's, now H&M.  Shopping life is good.  (provided the rich share some of their wealth to the unrich like me =)

Cyndi Quote of the Day:   Life is moving forward.  If you don't catch up, you'll be left behind.

Well, thats about it folks.  Good day and good riddance
